ais-inpractice.org is a platform developed by the Association for Information Systems, which provides opportunities for international networking, but may also be used to access course descriptions and teaching materials. Lecturers can log in, create their own courses and upload presentations, lectures, case studies, or other materials for courses, which in turn can be accessed by users. ais-inpractice.org is a database for the purposes of Article 1(2) of Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases ([1996] OJ L077/20). The website is registered under the domain name: ais-inpractice.org.

6. Privacy policy

6.1 The navigation of ais-inpractice.org allows users to surf the website anonymously. To the extent that personal data is collected on ais-inpractice.org, this is done on a voluntary basis. Such data will not be disclosed to third parties without the user's express consent. ais-inpractice.org reserves the right to request personal information for certain purposes (e.g., exchange of teaching materials). ais-inpractice.org uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of the use of the ais-inpractice.org website to be undertaken). The information generated by the cookie (including users' IP addresses) will be analysed by Google. By using this website, users consent to the processing by Google of any data collected about them in the manner and for the purposes set out above. Google will not use users' IP addresses in connection with any other data held by Google. ais-inpractice.org retrieves information regarding its pages via Google Analytics and evaluates it in order to improve the contents of the ais-inpractice.org website.

8. Severability clause

If any sections or individual provisions of this Terms of Use do not, no longer, or do not fully correspond to the current law, such provision shall be severed and shall be inoperative and the remainder of these Terms of Use shall remain operative and binding.
